International cabling specialist Brand-Rex has appointed Andrew Gomez as its new Business Development Manager for India, Middle East & Africa (IMEA). Operating out of the Brand-Rex office in Dubai and reporting directly to Global Sales Director, Seamus Ryan, Andrew will be tasked with driving new business opportunities and developing emerging markets across the region, as well supporting the local team to ensure that Brand-Rex continues to deliver the high-performance systems and services expected by its customers.
Andrew has a BSc in Electronic Engineering, is a member of the Institute of Project Management, and has vast industry experience in the design of IT, communication and security systems addressing the wide-ranging requirements of both commercial and government users. Formerly a Regional Director within the specialisms group of international building services consultants Faber Maunsell, Andrew has secured numerous £multi-million projects with esteemed government and blue-chip clients, and intends to build on his experience and success by further growing the Brand-Rex business throughout IMEA.

The IMEA territory includes direct channel partners across 12 major countries in MEA (Middle East & Africa) and a customer base spanning around 22 countries in total. Brand-Rex’ premium, high-performance communication solutions continue to meet the ever-growing demand for structured cabling applications throughout IMEA – from one of the region’s largest libraries in Iran, to complex cabling infrastructure for Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Festival City and King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Saudi Arabia. Recent wins also include the Majid Al-Futtaim Group (MAF), which has chosen Brand-Rex 10GPlus solutions for its prestigious new office development in Deira City Centre (Dubai), and National Commercial Bank in Iran, which has deployed the 10GPlus solution combined with MPO OM3 Fibre uplinks to support its critical servers and fibre channel external storage chassis.
